Milky Foot 7 days Program

Hello guys! Sorry for the one month mia. So busy with my personal stuffs.
Managed to find time for one review! And it will be milky foot 7 days program.
It's a foot mask where you soak your feet into the socks with the gel for 1-1.5 hours and your dead skin cells will peel off! Sound super convenient as compared using a filer to file my heels.

When I first open the packet, its like a pair of sock stick together at the opening. You have to cut half to separate the socks and there will be a opening for you to slide your foot in. Adhesive tape provided to stick the opening after your foot is in but imo it's not sticky enough. So as a very kiasu girl, I sat on the sofa with the socks for 1.5 hours. The feeling is like your feet are soaking in a pail of water, just that it is in gel form and the amount of gel is just nice for the lower part of the feet. After 1.5 hours, I washed it with warm water and ta da, wait for the peeling part.

My peeling part happened at 3rd day. The feet are literally peeling like mad. I can feel the dead skin in my flats. Yucks but shiok. Hahaha. I went to cut the dead skin because I can't possibly walk around my dead skin around my feet. My feet took around two weeks to stop the peeling and I have to wash my feet with warm water to remove those dead skin that can't be cut off or drop by itself as they are too small.

My heels feel alot more smoother!!! Something I can't achieve by filing because I'm just pure lazy to file. One thing to take note. Because that the gel is in contact with most of my sole and heel areas, the two areas will be peeling more efficiently. The upper part of my feet only come in contact with the gel that is on the inner side of the socks. Hence it result in a lower peeled area and an upper unpeeled area.
Okay my drawing really cmi. The grey line there is the area where the peeling is not very significant hence it look like a line separating the feet.

Pictures of my feet during the peeling progress.
Ummm please do not look if you just had your dinner..

First day after soaking

Super not clear pictures but that's how it look like.

4th/5th day after soaking

Oh yah the circled area is the corn or callus. That area will not disappear like how the cracks on my heel disappear after the peeling is done.
Unfortunately I didn't took any after pics. It is really alot smoother but not to the extent like baby skin.

Will I buy again? Yes!! But I will make sure top part of my foot is covered with gel.
But I think it's not advisable to use every month as I feel that  the gel is acidic, not very good for your feet.

Thanks for reading!!
And sorry for any grammar, spelling mistakes.

Tamoya Udon & Tsuru-koshi Udon

Hello!!!
Here is a quick food review. I think I am turning into some food blogger but no complaints, I love food.
Today review will be on two stall that specialize in udon.
I love noodles and usually when I went to have japanese food, I will most likely order noodle dishes.
So when I heard of this two stalls, I knew I have to try.

Tamoya Udon
I visited this place twice. I ordered Bukkake Udon, thick soya-source (which I think is soya-sauce) taste in regular size ($4.80) and I added a prawn tempura and a shiitake mushroom tempura. I don't really remember the price of the tempura but this set cost less than $10.

Oh my. Can I say this is one of the best udon I ever ate in Singapore!? The soup is good. It is just nice for my taste buds, not too salty and full of flavors. The udon is CHEWY, no raw udon taste and the texture is just perfect. The tempura is crunchy but I found them a little oily. Free condiments like wakame, spring onion and those crunchy fried tempura bits.

However on my second visit, I tried Kama-tama udon, Al dente Kama-age udon with freshraw egg. I didn't took a photo down but you can check out the pictures at here . Okay I must admit this time round I didn't enjoy my food. It taste weird as in I think I ate it in a wrong way. There's a sauce/dipping sauce that come with the udon and I just pour everything into the bowl and mix and it's like super weird. But the udon is still chewy!!! I guess I will just stick to my ususal hot udon soup or cold udon next time.

Tsuru-koshi Udon
Wanted to try this for the longest and I tried Hiyashi Tan Tan Udon, cold udon served with chinese hot sauce ($9). This udon is quite nice in flavor as compared to the Kama-tama udon. The chinese hot sauce is like minced pork sauce and it really give the udon a nice taste. However I personally feel that there's a pork taste which I don't like and when I'm biting on udon, I feel like I'm biting on a rubber. Maybe hot udon will make the udon more chewy than cold.

Comparison for cold udon
Flavor wise: Tsuru-koshi Udon
Texture of udon: Tamoya Udon
Price: Tamoya Udon

Maybe I should give Tsuru-koshi Udon another try for the hot version of Hiyashi Tan Tan Udon, or other hot udon soup.

Til then! (Review on either a casual fine dining or milky foot mask)

Hair Sciences @ Orchard Central

Hello! Today review will be on Hair Sciences, hair restoration clinic at Orchard Central.

I've been suffering from thin fine hair since young and my hair dropped alot. Especially after my rebonding when I'm 14. So when my sister saw there's a deal on groupon, we decided to get it.

So when we reached there, we were served by a consultant named Kiso. He is quite friendly and will answer our enquires. We were asked to fill a form, basically asking about our personal particulars and lifestyle. After that he told us about the steps of treatment and lead us to the treatment area. It is an open concept, very much like a salon. Tea was served.

1. Apply mask for 20mins
2. Use a cotton pad and rub the scalp after 20 mins (to exfoliate the scalp)
3. Hair washing
4. Spray the essence on the scalp
5. Head and shoulder massage (only on head as we are using groupon deals)
6. Under LED red light ( i think is to improve the blood circulation)

After that, we were lead back to the consultant room where we filled up the form and I was expecting for hard selling . BUT there wasn't any hard selling, maybe have but not to the extent we will feel frustrated. He took time to explain to us. There's a huge amount of discount given and we decided to take it as it is not very expensive, comparable to scalp treatment at salon and we want to see improvement.

One thing I don't like about here is the microscopic images our scalp are not saved. Meaning the before treatment images were gone. BUT I manged to take picture with my trusty but lousy camera Iphone. And I don't like that I got different people treating my scalp on different days. I prefer the same person for all my treatment or two different also can. Oh I think the treatment is not very personalize as me and my sister always have the same treatment content.

Do I think it is worth? Yes if you got an income and desperately need some help in hair issue. It is so much cheaper than those "brand" outside. No if you're a student (no income), prefer privacy.

And now is the pictures time!! Okay two only. Hahaha. I did saw some results, baby hair growing, one strand of hair growing from a supposedly dead follicles. But for my sister, her result is not as significant as me

After one treatment/before treatment (don't really remember). Can see that my scalp have patchy white stuffs, those are not dandruff!! It's the peeling of scalp, like tuo pi.

After 5+1(groupon deal) treatment, scalp looking much healthier. Didn't took the pictures that show baby hair growing, I'll try to take during the next scanning!

Thanks for reading! :)

Iroiro Ramen @ Orchard Plaza

Sorry for the hiatus! Was so busying with my work and school life.

Today's review will be on food! Ramen YAY!
I love noodles so ramen is also one of my top choices for food. Oh and my sister too!
So one day we were heading for our appt and she found out a ramen place at Orchard Plaza. But the unit changed to another ramen outlet when we reached there. So being adventurous and laziness to walk anymore, we went into the empty ramen shop.

Didn't took any pictures as usual. Menu is rather limited. I remembered that less than 5 choices of ramen? We ordered Miso Ramen ($14), Karashi Tonkotsu Ramen ($14) with addition of aji tamago ($2) and a Joki gyoza, steamed dumpling ($6).

That was one of the nicest miso ramen I ever had, both of us agreed that miso ramen soup was better than the tonkotsu one. The soup have a rich miso taste and it is not salty. Hardness of the ramen was just nice for me, I like it alittle bit hard. Both ramen shared the same stuffs (if my memory never fail). The bamboo shoots were nicely flavored. Cannot comment on the tamago cause I didn't order that. The steamed dumpling is a surprise! The dumpling is very filled with ingredients and the sauce that came with it is nice. It taste like a mixture of vinegar plus chili? It's addictive.

If you are sick of those famous ramen shop in town, why not give this ramen shop a try? But I think the chef is a Singaporean as the staffs are communicating in english/mandarin which is not a problem for me as the ramen is tasty. I never tried the ramen in Japan but before I managed to save money, I shall stick to the local ramen shop.

Iroiro Ramen

Unit No #01-17/18 Orchard Plaza

* I think this shop is closed for business as I went there twice and they are not open.

Leaders Insolution AC dressing mask review

Hello! Today review will be on Leader Insolution AC dressing mask

(Picture taken from google)

My skin is combination type, oily and dry. I have bumps here and there. It was better after I went to my facial place (might blog about that) but the hairline area is still bad. I decided to try this mask out to see if the bumps will subsidize as the reviews are really not too bad.

The mask itself is very thin, coated with gel-kind essence. It stick onto my skin nicely, unlike those normal sheet mask, will like fall here fall there. The smell is pleasant and yet not too strong til I'll get sinus. My only downside is the size, way too small for my big face.

I followed the instruction, put for 15-20mins, pat the essence and let it be absorb by my face. When I removed the mask, I can see that my face became whiter and it's glowing white. The essence took sometime to be absorbed and it won't feel too thick/heavy.

I don't feel any immediate effects on the day and the day after I put the mask. But after the second day, my bumps reduced, by half. I'm amazed. However I don't feel that my face is less oily.

I think it's pretty worth to get if you have an important date and you need to have a quick fix on the pimples. However it's quite expensive ($3.60/$3.50 per piece) for twice a week usage. I will still get it for once awhile usage.

Thanks for reading. :)

Lingerfinger's Sticky Date Pudding

Hello! Today review will be on a home based bakery, Lingerfinger's sticky date pudding!

(Picture taken from Lingerfinger instagram)

Had always wanted to try sticky date pudding and lingerfinger's bakes for a long time but didn't due to laziness/no fate with sticky date pudding and lingerfinger's owner, Samantha lives in the extreme east side of Singapore, Pasir Ris. Then lucky me saw that she will be having meet up in town on a Friday and just nice July's special is sticky date pudding! So I placed my order with her.

The pudding feels abit oily when I'm remove the paper (not sure of the name) on the side of the pudding. I scoop a teaspoon of butterscotch on the top of the pudding and microwave it for 20sec. I expect it to be like super sweet but it wasn't! The butterscotch taste like Werther's Original but less sweet and I won't feel very sickening and it is very smooth in texture. I can eat that alone! The pudding is not sweet too, chewy and sticky when the butterscotch is absorbed. You must be thinking, butterscotch not sweet, pudding not sweet, how can it be nice? But omg, it is that nice! The two stuffs complement each other so well.

You should try it if you never tried sticky date pudding yet and also craving for sticky date pudding. This will be their last week baking this and she's holding a meet up at Bouna Vista this friday! Faster go order! Email her at lingerfingerr@gmail.com.

Psst Psst. She's very friendly in her emails and she reply her emails FAST. Good service! :)

Suntory Milcolla Collagen Powder

Hello!
Today's review will be on collagen powder, highly raved on Taiwan variety show,女人我最大.

(Picture taken from google)

Reason why I bought it is because I've been exercising alot and hence putting alot of stress on my joints. So I started to take glucosamine and collagen pills. Decided to change to powder and this particular brand because of the show. This brand is said to have no fishy taste in it and will make the drink taste nicer. And the rate of our body producing collagen will slow down at the age of 25, hence not wanting to have fine lines on my face, and most importantly collagen will make the face pores shrinks.

When opened, I took a sniff of the powder and it smells like a mixture of milk and fish? More milky smell than fishy. My first try of it is added into Yakult. Although it's in powder form, it doesn't dissolves as fast as I thought. I added it into warm water then add Yakult but it's still quite lumpy and I hate lumpy things. However it will dissolve well in hot beverage. There's a slight (very slight) fishy taste and a strong milky taste. I tried on quite a number of drinks and I found it best compatible with mocha.

Is there any effects? Not now because I'm extremely lazy and have not been taking it regularly. Oops

Will I intro this to my friends? Yes only when they are looking for collagen products.
Will I buy again? Yes but not at a regular basis as it cost S$46 per packet and only can last you for half a month!!

Oh anyway, I bought it from here as the reviews are not too bad. And it's indeed true that the delivery is super fast. I had a message from the seller that my package is mailed out and I received it the very next day!!!

Thanks for reading :)

Lindt, a touch of sea salt

I love chocolates, especially dark chocolates.

Chanced upon Lindt chocolate on the supermarket shelves and was attracted by the packaging (packaging is important) and it's dark chocolates with a touch of sea salt. Oh man. Who can resist it so I grabbed one to have a taste of it.

The first bite was a very rich dark chocolate taste. I was actually expecting it to be like salty chocolate. After letting it to soften in my mouth, I actually can taste distinct bits of salt. The dark chocolate was rich and smooth. I have to admit I wasn't a fan of it when I had the first piece, but after a few more piece, the taste is actually addicting.  Love it!

TCL Happy Denim Jeans

Hello!

Today review will be on The Closet Lover, TCL Happy Denim Jeans.
I've been on a lookout for a good pair of jeans for my legs shape, big thighs, small calves. Every pair of skinny jeans I got will be like skinny on my thighs but flare on my calves. The most fitted jeans I tried on was Levis. $100 per pair.

So when I chanced upon brianna blog (TCL owner), she was wearing a pair of jeans and it will be launched soon. Since I'm going down to Jcube miyoc and collect my parcel, I might as well try on the jeans. I was sold and I got two pairs in M and S (since it can be stretch)

Cutting: I'm not very professional in looking at the cuttings but I feel great in this jeans and it fit me like a glove. Thigh areas; tight. Calves area; tight. It's like tapered skinny jeans. But the jeans keep sliding down, doesn't stay at the hips area. I need to keep pulling up.

Material: Ok have to admit that when I first touch the material on the rack, I'm like I'm not going to buy because it's so thin like uniqolo skinny leggings (that one which cost $39.90)and definitely will have very visible VPL. But when I try on, there's hardly any VPL. Alright to be very strict, there is a SLIGHT VPL but it's acceptable to me.

Colour: Hey it's dark denim, how to resist? Hahahaha

Conclusion If you are looking for jeans quality like levis, skip this. If you are like me, looking for a pair of affordable jeans, get it. And also if you have weird leg shape like me(fat thighs, skinny calves) and have a hard time looking at skinny jeans, get it!! ^^

Sharp plasmacluster hair dryer review (Edited)

Hello! Had to edit the first review because of the alignment and I feel like adding more words in it. Lesson learnt: Don't use iphone to create a new post.

My very first review with no pictures. I did took one with my iPhone but resolution too lousy, don't really want to post it.

Today's review will be on sharp plasmacluster hair dryer. Wanted to get it for a very long time after reading cheeserland's review but didn't due to its price tag. But eventually decide to get one because my hair was so dried out from clipping it everyday and my old hairdryer was on the verge of breaking down. Also more bloggers are reviewing it.

Pros:
1. Very pretty design and color. The gold look classy and the pink color hairdryer on the display look nice too.
2. My hair did feel more tamed and less dried after using it as compared to my old hairdryer.

Cons:
1. There's 3 modes for this hair dryer; hot,set and cold. The hot and cold modes are super loud like those salon hairdryer. In a result I always used set mode because I scared my neighbour will complain.
2. Results promised will be more obvious on thick hair.

Conclusion
I got super fine hair so the results are not that obvious but I can still feel it. Hence if you have thin hair like me, get it if you need a hairdryer and don't mind spending $99. But if you have thick hair, I feel that this hair dryer is worth the getting.

Do leave comments on areas I can improve on :)

First Post

Hello!

This will be my first post for this blog!
Basically this blog will be focusing on non-sponsored reviews, mostly for products from Singapore.
I know the frustration in looking for unbiased reviews over the net.

So this will be a blog for me to pen down my thoughts! Stay tuned!
