Iroiro Ramen @ Orchard Plaza

Sorry for the hiatus! Was so busying with my work and school life.

Today's review will be on food! Ramen YAY!
I love noodles so ramen is also one of my top choices for food. Oh and my sister too!
So one day we were heading for our appt and she found out a ramen place at Orchard Plaza. But the unit changed to another ramen outlet when we reached there. So being adventurous and laziness to walk anymore, we went into the empty ramen shop.

Didn't took any pictures as usual. Menu is rather limited. I remembered that less than 5 choices of ramen? We ordered Miso Ramen ($14), Karashi Tonkotsu Ramen ($14) with addition of aji tamago ($2) and a Joki gyoza, steamed dumpling ($6).

That was one of the nicest miso ramen I ever had, both of us agreed that miso ramen soup was better than the tonkotsu one. The soup have a rich miso taste and it is not salty. Hardness of the ramen was just nice for me, I like it alittle bit hard. Both ramen shared the same stuffs (if my memory never fail). The bamboo shoots were nicely flavored. Cannot comment on the tamago cause I didn't order that. The steamed dumpling is a surprise! The dumpling is very filled with ingredients and the sauce that came with it is nice. It taste like a mixture of vinegar plus chili? It's addictive.

If you are sick of those famous ramen shop in town, why not give this ramen shop a try? But I think the chef is a Singaporean as the staffs are communicating in english/mandarin which is not a problem for me as the ramen is tasty. I never tried the ramen in Japan but before I managed to save money, I shall stick to the local ramen shop.

Iroiro Ramen

* I think this shop is closed for business as I went there twice and they are not open.

Lingerfinger's Sticky Date Pudding

Hello! Today review will be on a home based bakery, Lingerfinger's sticky date pudding!

(Picture taken from Lingerfinger instagram)

Had always wanted to try sticky date pudding and lingerfinger's bakes for a long time but didn't due to laziness/no fate with sticky date pudding and lingerfinger's owner, Samantha lives in the extreme east side of Singapore, Pasir Ris. Then lucky me saw that she will be having meet up in town on a Friday and just nice July's special is sticky date pudding! So I placed my order with her.

The pudding feels abit oily when I'm remove the paper (not sure of the name) on the side of the pudding. I scoop a teaspoon of butterscotch on the top of the pudding and microwave it for 20sec. I expect it to be like super sweet but it wasn't! The butterscotch taste like Werther's Original but less sweet and I won't feel very sickening and it is very smooth in texture. I can eat that alone! The pudding is not sweet too, chewy and sticky when the butterscotch is absorbed. You must be thinking, butterscotch not sweet, pudding not sweet, how can it be nice? But omg, it is that nice! The two stuffs complement each other so well.

You should try it if you never tried sticky date pudding yet and also craving for sticky date pudding. This will be their last week baking this and she's holding a meet up at Bouna Vista this friday! Faster go order! Email her at lingerfingerr@gmail.com.

Psst Psst. She's very friendly in her emails and she reply her emails FAST. Good service! :)

Thanks for reading. :)

Suntory Milcolla Collagen Powder

Hello!
Today's review will be on collagen powder, highly raved on Taiwan variety show,女人我最大.

(Picture taken from google)

Reason why I bought it is because I've been exercising alot and hence putting alot of stress on my joints. So I started to take glucosamine and collagen pills. Decided to change to powder and this particular brand because of the show. This brand is said to have no fishy taste in it and will make the drink taste nicer. And the rate of our body producing collagen will slow down at the age of 25, hence not wanting to have fine lines on my face, and most importantly collagen will make the face pores shrinks.

When opened, I took a sniff of the powder and it smells like a mixture of milk and fish? More milky smell than fishy. My first try of it is added into Yakult. Although it's in powder form, it doesn't dissolves as fast as I thought. I added it into warm water then add Yakult but it's still quite lumpy and I hate lumpy things. However it will dissolve well in hot beverage. There's a slight (very slight) fishy taste and a strong milky taste. I tried on quite a number of drinks and I found it best compatible with mocha.

Is there any effects? Not now because I'm extremely lazy and have not been taking it regularly. Oops

Will I intro this to my friends? Yes only when they are looking for collagen products.
Will I buy again? Yes but not at a regular basis as it cost S$46 per packet and only can last you for half a month!!

Oh anyway, I bought it from here as the reviews are not too bad. And it's indeed true that the delivery is super fast. I had a message from the seller that my package is mailed out and I received it the very next day!!!

Thanks for reading :)

Lindt, a touch of sea salt

I love chocolates, especially dark chocolates.

Chanced upon Lindt chocolate on the supermarket shelves and was attracted by the packaging (packaging is important) and it's dark chocolates with a touch of sea salt. Oh man. Who can resist it so I grabbed one to have a taste of it.

The first bite was a very rich dark chocolate taste. I was actually expecting it to be like salty chocolate. After letting it to soften in my mouth, I actually can taste distinct bits of salt. The dark chocolate was rich and smooth. I have to admit I wasn't a fan of it when I had the first piece, but after a few more piece, the taste is actually addicting.  Love it!
