Hair Sciences @ Orchard Central

Hello! Today review will be on Hair Sciences, hair restoration clinic at Orchard Central.

I've been suffering from thin fine hair since young and my hair dropped alot. Especially after my rebonding when I'm 14. So when my sister saw there's a deal on groupon, we decided to get it.

So when we reached there, we were served by a consultant named Kiso. He is quite friendly and will answer our enquires. We were asked to fill a form, basically asking about our personal particulars and lifestyle. After that he told us about the steps of treatment and lead us to the treatment area. It is an open concept, very much like a salon. Tea was served.

1. Apply mask for 20mins
2. Use a cotton pad and rub the scalp after 20 mins (to exfoliate the scalp)
3. Hair washing
4. Spray the essence on the scalp
5. Head and shoulder massage (only on head as we are using groupon deals)
6. Under LED red light ( i think is to improve the blood circulation)

After that, we were lead back to the consultant room where we filled up the form and I was expecting for hard selling . BUT there wasn't any hard selling, maybe have but not to the extent we will feel frustrated. He took time to explain to us. There's a huge amount of discount given and we decided to take it as it is not very expensive, comparable to scalp treatment at salon and we want to see improvement.

One thing I don't like about here is the microscopic images our scalp are not saved. Meaning the before treatment images were gone. BUT I manged to take picture with my trusty but lousy camera Iphone. And I don't like that I got different people treating my scalp on different days. I prefer the same person for all my treatment or two different also can. Oh I think the treatment is not very personalize as me and my sister always have the same treatment content.

Do I think it is worth? Yes if you got an income and desperately need some help in hair issue. It is so much cheaper than those "brand" outside. No if you're a student (no income), prefer privacy.

And now is the pictures time!! Okay two only. Hahaha. I did saw some results, baby hair growing, one strand of hair growing from a supposedly dead follicles. But for my sister, her result is not as significant as me

After one treatment/before treatment (don't really remember). Can see that my scalp have patchy white stuffs, those are not dandruff!! It's the peeling of scalp, like tuo pi.

After 5+1(groupon deal) treatment, scalp looking much healthier. Didn't took the pictures that show baby hair growing, I'll try to take during the next scanning!

Thanks for reading! :)

Iroiro Ramen @ Orchard Plaza

Sorry for the hiatus! Was so busying with my work and school life.

Today's review will be on food! Ramen YAY!
I love noodles so ramen is also one of my top choices for food. Oh and my sister too!
So one day we were heading for our appt and she found out a ramen place at Orchard Plaza. But the unit changed to another ramen outlet when we reached there. So being adventurous and laziness to walk anymore, we went into the empty ramen shop.

Didn't took any pictures as usual. Menu is rather limited. I remembered that less than 5 choices of ramen? We ordered Miso Ramen ($14), Karashi Tonkotsu Ramen ($14) with addition of aji tamago ($2) and a Joki gyoza, steamed dumpling ($6).

That was one of the nicest miso ramen I ever had, both of us agreed that miso ramen soup was better than the tonkotsu one. The soup have a rich miso taste and it is not salty. Hardness of the ramen was just nice for me, I like it alittle bit hard. Both ramen shared the same stuffs (if my memory never fail). The bamboo shoots were nicely flavored. Cannot comment on the tamago cause I didn't order that. The steamed dumpling is a surprise! The dumpling is very filled with ingredients and the sauce that came with it is nice. It taste like a mixture of vinegar plus chili? It's addictive.

If you are sick of those famous ramen shop in town, why not give this ramen shop a try? But I think the chef is a Singaporean as the staffs are communicating in english/mandarin which is not a problem for me as the ramen is tasty. I never tried the ramen in Japan but before I managed to save money, I shall stick to the local ramen shop.
